Product Description

5. Properties: Colorless and transparent monoclinic crystal structure. Relative density 2.17, stable in air. It is soluble in water and becomes weakly alkaline due to hydrolysis. Aqueous solutions and magnesium salts do not precipitate basic salts. Insoluble in ethanol. It begins to decompose at 100°C and completely decomposes at 200°C, losing carbon dioxide and water to become potassium carbonate.

6. Use: Used as raw material for the production of potassium carbonate, potassium acetate, potassium arsenite, etc., and also used in medicine, food, fire extinguishing and other industries. As an acidity regulator and chemical leavening agent, our country stipulates that it can be used in various foods that require the addition of leavening agents, and should be used in appropriate amounts according to production needs.
