Product Description

Propylene glycol,Other name1,2-propanediol, is an organic compound with the chemical formula of C3H8O2. It is miscible with water, ethanol and various organic solvents. Under normal conditions, it is colorless viscous liquid, almost tasteless and slightly sweet. Propylene glycol can be used as raw material of unsaturated polyester resin, and can be used as wetting agent with glycerol or sorbitol in cosmetics, toothpaste and soap. In hair dyes, it is used as moisture control, hair conditioner, antifreeze, cellophane, plasticizer and pharmaceutical industry.


Propylene glycol can be used as raw material for unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, plasticizers, surfactants and PU resin, mainly used for paint, coating and plastic industries.
In cosmetics, can be used as a wetting agent and emollient, because of good viscosity and hygroscopicity.
In daily chemical is an important solvent.
It used as an antifreeze, also an important material for Humectant.
