Maquiberry belongs to the family Eleutherococcus, Malvaceae, with a trunk length of 4-5m. There are about hundreds of maqui berries on a tree. It is a wild dark purple small berry with a diameter of about 4-6mm. It is native to the Patagonia Plateau of Chile in South America.
