Properties: Light pink monoclinic coarse crystal. Odorless. Relative density 2.95. It begins to lose crystal water when heated to above 200°C. Most of the crystal water is lost at about 280°C, and it becomes an anhydrous salt melt at 700°C. It begins to decompose at 800°C, leaving black insoluble Mn3O4, which is completely completed at about 1150°C. break down. Easily soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.

What is Manganese Sulfate ?

Application

(3) Manganese sulphate is used in textile dyes, fungicides, medicines and ceramics.

(5) Manganese sulphate is also used in ore flotation, as a catalyst in viscose pro- cess and in synthetic manganese.
